Motivated by Freud’s theory and my desire to explore the depths of my identity, I embarked on creating this piece that reflects the structured layers of my psyche. I immersed the canvas in a deep red background and carefully overlaid a subtle grid to represent the interplay between my id, ego, and superego. As the central portrait emerged, I felt the quiet influence of repressed memories and impulses on my everyday life. The act of painting was both challenging and revealing, affirming that even the hidden aspects of myself are integral to who I am.
